Accordly folds long product descriptions into tabs or accordions and adds FAQ pages and product FAQs to a store. The merchant writes the content and chooses how it looks. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and how long it keeps it.
From the merchant: your shop's myshopify domain, the access token Shopify issues when you install the app, your current plan, and whether you have dismissed the setup guide or been asked for a review. The app keeps no staff names.
Content you write in the app: tab titles and text, FAQ groups, questions and answers, design choices and help button settings, including any contact details you choose to show on your store (such as your business email, phone number, WhatsApp number or social accounts). Copies of this content are stored in your store, as app data and app content, so your theme can show it and Shopify's Translate & Adapt can translate it.
From your products and pages: the app reads product and collection names, tags, vendors, product types, product fields and store pages to show them in the app's pickers and on your store as you choose. Its database keeps only what you pick: the product and collection IDs, tags, vendors and product types that decide where a tab or FAQ group shows, the handle of a store page you show in a tab or use as your FAQ page, and the name (namespace and key) of a product field you show in a tab, never the field's values. If you keep AI drafts written from a product, the answers you save can contain text from that product's description.
From your customers and orders: nothing. The app has no access to your customers or orders.
From shoppers on your store: nothing. What the app shows on your store is part of your theme's pages. It sends nothing to us, sets no cookies and stores nothing in the browser.
Technical records: for each notification Shopify sends us, its id, its type and your shop's domain, so the same notification is never handled twice. Our servers also log the path, result and duration of each request to the app, without the address's query string. The app logs its own events too, such as a publish, an AI draft run or an error: each log line holds your shop's domain, the event's name and details such as counts or an error message. Logs never contain data about your shoppers or your access token.
Each Shopify permission and what it is used for:
read_products — To let you choose products and collections for where a tab or FAQ group shows, to check which tabs a product gets, to show product fields in tabs, and to draft FAQs from a product you pick. The app never changes your products.read_online_store_pages — To let you pick a store page (for example a size guide or shipping page) to show in a tab, and to find your FAQ page.write_online_store_pages — To create one page titled FAQ when you click "Create FAQ page". The app never changes or deletes your other pages.read_legal_policies — To read your refund, shipping, privacy and terms of service policies when you click "Draft FAQs from your policies".read_themes — Read-only: to check whether the tabs block, the FAQ block and the help button are on in your live theme, for the setup guide. The app never changes your theme.app/uninstalled — Deletes the access token and marks your shop as uninstalled. Everything else is kept for 48 hours in case you reinstall.app/scopes_update — Records the permissions you granted after they change.customers/data_request — Answers a customer's request for their data. The app stores no data about your customers.customers/redact — Deletes a customer's data on request. The app stores no data about your customers.shop/redact — Permanently deletes everything the app holds for your shop, 48 hours after you uninstall.Only to run the app for you: to know whether your plan is active, to show your tabs, FAQs and help button on your store, and to answer your support questions.
When you click "Draft FAQs from your policies" or "Draft FAQs from a product", the app sends the text of your store's refund, shipping, privacy, terms of service and contact policies, or the title and description of the one product you chose, to OpenRouter, which passes it to an AI model we choose to write the drafts. No customer or order data is ever sent. The drafts come back to you and are saved only if you choose them, as unpublished drafts.
For the monthly limit we record, per run, the date, the source (policies or product), the number of drafts and the number of words processed (tokens). We do not keep the text sent or the drafts returned in these records.
The app's admin pages show a tawk.to chat button. When you open the app in your Shopify admin, your shop's name, shop email address and myshopify domain are sent to tawk.to so we know who we are talking to, and the messages you send in the chat are stored by tawk.to. Like any website you load, tawk.to also receives the IP address and browser details of whoever opens the app, and it sets its own cookies inside the app's admin pages. The chat is never shown on your storefront.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising. It is processed only by the services that run the app:
You can ask what we hold about your shop, or ask us to delete it, at any time by emailing devangfour@gmail.com. Shoppers can make the same request through the merchant, who forwards it via Shopify.
When what the app collects changes, this page changes in the same release, and the date at the top is updated.
